    Happened on November 19th, 2014

    Buterin, the developer of crypto 2.0 platform Ethereum and co-founder of Bitcoin Magazine, received the honour at the WTN's 2014 summit held at the Time & Life building in New York City. Buterin was the only big name in the digital currency industry to win an award at this year's WTN event.

This sparked a big debate through EIP-999 with the proposal to restore the contract code at the address that was self-destructed.
